Our Story
In 2010, Laura Francke recognised the need for Clinical Psychology Services in Port Stephens. At the time, there were no private Clinical Psychologists in the region. Most residents had to travel to Newcastle to access the services they needed. On 1st July 2010, Port Stephens Clinical Psychology Services opened its doors. Laura, heavily pregnant at the time, practiced a few days a week.

In 2019, the practice expanded. Central Coast Clinical Psychology Services opened. Laura began offering services at Hamlyn Terrace Community Centre. Since then, the two practices have merged to form Clinical Psychology Services Australia (CPSA). The Central Coast practice recently moved to a permanent location in Wyee to better serve the growing community.

CPSA has evolved into a thriving practice. Up to three psychologists work alongside Laura to meet the needs of the community. We offer therapy and assessment services for children and adults and offer community consultations. Laura has extensive experience. She has worked as a Family Consultant to the Family Court. She prepared family assessment reports. She served as a Victims of Crime psychologist. She provided services to clients using NDIS. Laura is also a Board Approved Supervisor, offering supervision to other psychologists and psychology interns.
CPSA is committed to shaping the future of psychology by creating a valuable learning environment for emerging clinicians. Through supervision, mentoring, and hands-on experience, we are helping to build the next generation of skilled, compassionate psychologists.
